Netherlands – Scotland

Netherlands and Scotland take on each other at Estadio Algarve in a pre-EURO friendly. The Netherlands has won four of their last six internationals beating Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, Latvia, and Gibraltar. They have also recently drawn 1-1 with Spain and lost 4-2 to Turkey. Scotland’s recent record isn’t quite as impressive as the Netherlands’. Their 4-0 win over the Faroe Islands last time out is their only victory in five. In that period, Scotland has lost consecutive games 1-0 to Slovakia and Israel before drawing with Austria and Israel.

When the two teams met in a friendly in Aberdeen four years ago Netherlands defeated Scotland thanks to Memphis Depay’s goal. Seeing that the Orange defeated Steve Clarke’s troops in each of the previous four meetings between the two national teams, home win should be considered.
