Turkey – Italy

Euro 2020 gets underway on Friday night with a match from Group A between Turkey and Italy. The Italians are expected to claim the top spot in this group but Turkey, Wales and Switzerland may well be thinking otherwise. Turkey secured a 2-0 win in their final warm-up game ahead of the Euros against Moldova and have only lost one of their last 13 international matches.

Italy ended their Euro’s warm-up with a convincing 4-0 victory over Czech Republic. Despite Italy being the big favourites to win this game, we’re backing Friday’s Euro 2020 opener to end all square. The last two meetings between Turkey and Italy have both ended in draws and both teams head into Friday’s in excellent form. Turkey have won four and drawn two of their last six outings while Italy have won each of their last six fixtures.
