Uruguay – Paraguay

Estadio Olimpico Nilton Santos will host Tuesday’s Copa America game between Uruguay and Paraguay. Uruguay have had a dismal run at the Copa America so far but will be happy to have finished among the four teams in Group A and will hope to stabilize in the knockout stages. They’ve managed just one win in their three matches so far and head here with four points. Their only win in the group, was against the weakest team in the pool – Bolivia, a 2-0 win.

Paraguay claimed their second win in three matches in this group, after beating Chile 2-0. While it was the second time in three matches that Paraguay have managed two goals or more, they have failed to score in three of their last five matches.

Uruguay aren’t having a good spell, but will hope to wrap up their group stage assignments on a high then strategize well for the knockouts. They will be hoping to avoid defeat, as that’s the only way they can avoid Brazil in the quarters.
