The first match of the new season of the Romanian League 1 vice-champion FCSB will be a visit of FC Botosani. The last match between them at the Municipal Stadium in Botosani ended with a victory for the visitors with 1: 3. Last season, they met again in the first round. Then FCSB won 2: 1 at home. For seven consecutive games, Botosani failed to win against their opponent. The upcoming visitors were perfect in their three friendlies, after beating Kindia Targovishte, Mioveni and Gloria. Botosani lost to Ufa and Sandhausen, and in their first friendly match defeated Tyrol 0: 1.
Botosani’s team is coming out as an outsider in the upcoming battle since the start of League 1, as they have never won against FCSB so far. After eleven home games, the hosts only once managed to end in a draw, and the rest of their matches were won by their opponent. We believe that FCSB will start the new edition of their home championship with three points.
