Club Brugge – Eupen

Club Brugge is approaching their first match of the new season against Eupen with positive thoughts, as they lifted the trophy in the last one and won the Super Cup last weekend at home against Genk with a 3:2 result.  Eupen with its modest appearance in the previous season had no concerns about relegation, but ending up in the 12th spot didn’t provide them with a chance for a European exit. Since May, they were involved in several friendlies when their performances were not that convincing, as they were victorious in only two matches.

Surely, this is a new start, but we are not sure that they are in a position to fully match Club Brugge in the upcoming clash. There is simply too much of a quality gap between these two, and anything else except the host’s convincing victory would surely come as a great surprise.
