Genk are set to host Oostende in the second game of the new season of the Belgian Pro League at the Cristal Arena on Friday. Genk kicked off their league campaign with a well contested 1-1 draw with Standard Liege. The home side finished fourth in the previous season and secured a place in the Champions League qualifiers for the current season.
Oostende, on the other hand, have started the new league season with a 0-3 defeat to Charleroi after an under-par pre-season. Oostende have conceded 10 goals in three club friendly games, losing all of them so far.
It is early days in the season and both clubs are just settling down. However, that being said, it can be concluded that Genk are better suited to win this game by the slightest of margins due to the fact that they have been defensively better than Oostende so far.
