Manchester United and Leeds United get their Premier League campaigns underway in the clash at Old Trafford on Saturday. Man Utd were the best of the rest in the Premier League last season, finishing second behind eventual champions and neighbours Manchester City, with a gap of 12 points. The Red Devils were five points clear of third-placed Liverpool and have worked to both extend that gap and shorten the one between themselves and Man City, signing Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, finally ending a long transfer saga. Man Utd had a stuttered pre-season, winning two of their four games including victories over Derby County and Everton, while losing to QPR and drawing with Brentford.
Leeds, meanwhile, will be hoping to build on an impressive return to the Premier League in which they secured a top-half finish and only missed out on European football by three points. The Yorkshire club have been fairly busy in the summer, bringing in six new players and playing six pre-season friendlies.
Man Utd will be favourites to win the game and our prediction is for a home victory and over 2,5 goals.
