Galatasaray – Randers

Randers are looking to make history and advance to the UEFA Europa League group phase for the first time ever. Galatasaray stand as their final hurdle. It’s all wide open ahead of the rematch in Istanbul after a draw 1:1 in the first game. Despite their lack of European experience, Randers are anything but a naïve opposition, especially at this stage of the season when they seem to have caught the right rhythm. They are still unbeaten in the new season of Danish Superliga. They won four and drew two of the opening six league affairs, having conceded only four goals in the process.

Galatasaray have been very easy to break down in their European games this summer. They shipped seven goals over two Champions League legs against PSV and they allowed three more in two Europa League matches against St. Johnstone in the previous round.

This is a historical opportunity for Randers who should enter the game as form favorites and we can look for the Danes not to lose in Istanbul.
