PSG – Angers

PSG will be looking to bounce back from their defeat at Rennes when they resume their 2021-22 Ligue 1 campaign at home to Angers on Friday night The home side are currently top of the table, six points clear of second-placed Lens, while Angers occupy fourth, having picked up 16 points during an impressive start to the season. PSG’s 100% start to the new Ligue 1 season came to an end against Rennes before the international break, losing 2:0. PSG were held to a 1-1 draw by Club Brugge in their Champions League group-stage opener on September 15 but then recorded a 2-0 victory over Manchester City at the end of the month.

Angers, meanwhile, finished 13th in Ligue 1 last term, but an excellent start to the 2021-22 campaign has seen them collect 16 points from nine matches to occupy fourth position in the table. Four wins, four draws and one defeat is how the team have performed in France’s top flight this term, and they will enter Friday’s contest off the back of a 3-2 win over Metz before the international break.
