Croatia are set to play Russia at the Gradski stadion u Poljudu on Sunday in a World Cup qualifying game. Croatia come into this game on the back of a 7-1 win over Devis Mangia’s Malta in their most recent game. Russia, on the other hand, beat Nikos Kostenoglou’s Cyprus 6-0.

In five head-to-head encounters between the two sides, Croatia have won two games and drawn three. The two countries last faced each other earlier this year, with the game ending in a 0-0 draw.

Croatia boast a good mixture of youth and experience. The likes of Luka Modric and Ivan Perisic have been around for some time now, while much is expected from emerging stars like Lovro Majer and Borna Sosa. They have a lot of talent in their current squad, and they should have enough to emerge victorious.
