A place in the Premier League will be on the line when Brentford take on Swansea in the Championship play – off final at Wembley on Saturday afternoon. The Bees beat Bournemouth 3-2 on aggregate in a dramatic semi-final and are now looking to go one better than a year ago, when they were beaten in extra-time in the final by west London rivals Fulham. Swansea were also in last season’s playoffs and were knocked out in the semi-finals by Brentford, but reached the final this time around by seeing off Barnsley.
Brentford will assess Rico Henry and Christian Norgaard after they both missed Saturday’s second-leg win over Bournemouth, while Swansea look likely to be without the long-serving Wayne Routledge after he was stretchered off against Barnsley.
