Blackpool and Lincoln make the trip to Wembley Stadium to battle it out for a spot in the Championship, on Sunday at 3pm. Neil Critchley’s men soared to the play-off final with an emphatic victory over Oxford United over their two-leg affair. The damage was done mainly in the first leg which saw the Tangerines take a 3-0 advantage into their home tie at Bloomfield Road. Despite Oxford putting up a fight in the second leg, Critchley’s side cruised to the final with a 6-3 aggregate victory.
Lincoln were able to avoid an upset in the second leg of their semi-final clash against Sunderland. Similarly to Blackpool, the Imps cruised to a comfortable first-leg victory but were put heavily under the cosh in the game at the Stadium of Light. A first-half fightback from the Black Cats was put to bed in the second half with Tom Hopper’s goal settling the nerves and securing them a spot in the final.
Our prediction for this play-off is a win for Blackpool.
