Czech Republic – Denmark

Czech Republic and Denmark square off against each other at Baku Olympic Stadium in the EURO 2020 quarter-finals.  Czech sprung the biggest upset so far, with a 2-0 win over the Netherlands in the quarters while Denmark rolled over Wales with a 4-0 win. Czech Republic finished third in a group that had England and Croatia and they have shown great ability in attack, failing to score in just the England game so far in the competition.

Denmark had a slow start to this competition, losing their opening two games as well as losing midfielder Cristian Eriksen who collapsed in the opening game. They have scored eight goals in their last two matches, compared to the one they managed in the opening two games.

Denmark have managed just one clean sheet in the four matches here and that is an area they’ll want to tighten up, while the Czech have that surprise element though they don’t score a lot and can be opened up defensively with some creativity, as seen against England and Croatia. We expect both sides to score here and just like in most of their recent meetings, a draw is a likely outcome.
